Nicole was born in Philadelphia and has recently moved back to join The Sheward Partnership team. Over the past 10 years, Nicole has worked as an Engineer, Solar Designer, and a Sustainability Manager. She has worked on a variety of projects throughout New York, New Jersey, DC, and Maryland. As an engineer, Nicole worked in both the private and public sectors on commercial, institutional and residential projects. Her work included maintaining the operations of existing equipment for government agencies as well as designing electrical and lighting systems.
As a Solar Designer, Nicole designed roof-mounted, ground-mounted and carport systems ranging from 300 kW to 2 MW for commercial-scale retail businesses. Nicole is an advocate for food justice and sustainability in lower-income communities. Most recently she served as the Sustainability Manager for a non-profit affordable housing developer in the Bronx. During her tenure, Nicole managed overall health and well-being of tenants, oversaw the on-site Co-generation System and managed operations and maintenance at the buildings. Nicole believes that healthy environments should be available to all individuals regardless of their socioeconomic standing.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys traveling, learning about sustainable agriculture, and photography.
Nicole has already jumped in and taken over on some of our LEED projects supporting the sustainability team. We are excited to see how her experience as an engineer in the sustainability field will support our team to learn new innovative techniques and understand the engineering field even better.
Welcome, Nicole!
