We are excited to announce the newest member of The Sheward Partnership team! Sumaiya Mehjabeen, Assoc. AIA, LEED Green Associate has joined TSP as a Designer out of our Philadelphia office.

Sumaiya is an emerging architectural professional who strongly believes that architecture is all about the users – the people. She wants to advance her career by having a positive impact on the built environment. With that vision in mind, she aspires to become a leader in the architecture and sustainable design industry.

After receiving her Bachelor in Architecture degree from the top architecture school of Bangladesh, Sumaiya started her career as a professional and an educator. She moved to the US to pursue higher studies at Penn State University and received a Master of Science in Architecture degree with a focus on sustainable design. She gained experience working on a wide range of project types and sizes both in the US and Bangladesh. In addition to architectural practice, her interest also lies in architectural research, daylighting and lighting design, and sustainable design. Sumaiya volunteers for the Community Design Collaborative Philadelphia and the AIA Philadelphia COTE (Committee On The Environment).

In her free time, Sumaiya loves to tune up her ukulele and sing. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, or just walking around the city. She is a foodie and is always up for trying out new restaurants.

We are excited to have Sumaiya join our team and we look forward to seeing her grow at The Sheward Partnership!

Welcome, Sumaiya!
