The Sheward Partnership was responsible for the award winning design of their 6,500 SF Philadelphia office and its current green renovation. The design team was looking to create an efficient open work space filled with natural light, strong architectural elements, and environmentally friendly materials and practices. The design team took advantage of the high ceilings and natural light within the space to create a dynamic open work environment for their employees. Daylight harvesting systems along the perimeter and the removal of nonessential light fixtures significantly reduced energy consumption. New finishes including paints, millwork, and carpet were chosen to positively impact the interior air quality of the space. Strict office supply and electronics purchasing plans contribute to the sustainable operation of the office.
