Crosspoint at Valley Forge

The Sheward Partnership was commissioned by The Davis Companies to serve as the Sustainability and LEED Consultant on the major renovation and expansion project of the existing 530 and 580 East Swedesford Road commercial office buildings. The project is seeking LEED Gold certification under the LEED 2009 for Core & Shell Development Rating System. The project involves a completely new building envelope with an extensive connector addition to integrate the currently separate buildings into a single Class A corporate complex.

2.0 University Place

The Sheward Partnership was commissioned by University Place Associates to serve as the LEED and Sustainability Consultant in the design and construction of this new 105,000 square foot core and shell commercial office building. The five-story building is located on the northern edge of the University of Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia. The project achieved the very aggressive goal of achieving a LEED Platinum rating under the LEED for Core & Shell Development v2.0 Rating System. The building incorporated unique green strategies such as a 14,000 square foot accessible green roof, chilled beam heating and cooling, and the collection of stormwater for irrigation. University Place Associates made the ambitious commitment to build only LEED Platinum for commercial office buildings and tenant fit-outs. 2.0 University Place is the first multi-certified, multi-tenant LEED Platinum building in the world.

Republic Square | Phase II

The Sheward Partnership was commissioned by LEO A DALY to serve as the LEED and Sustainability Consultant in the design and construction of this new 238,000 square foot core and shell commercial office building. The eight-story building will be located just one block from Union Station in downtown Washington, DC. The team has established the goal of achieving a LEED Silver rating under the LEED 2009 for Core & Shell Development Rating System. Special sustainable design considerations for this project include balancing the integration of ample natural light through the all glass building envelope with delivery of a high-performance building that will yield energy savings to future tenants; exterior landscaping designed to be both durable in an urban environment and native; and a fully equipped fitness center for all building occupants that will include underground secure bicycle storage.

Saint-Gobain North American Corporate Headquarters

The Sheward Partnership was selected by Bernardon Haber Holloway Architects to provide LEED and Sustainability Consulting Services for the new Saint-Gobain North American Headquarters in Malvern, Pennsylvania. The project involves the major renovation and addition of an existing office building built in the 1960s. The scope includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades, and also extensive site work. The 4-story building features Saint-Gobain’s innovative Sage Glass electronically tintable glazing to reduce solar heat gain and glare throughout the day. The project anticipates Gold certification under the LEED 2009 for Core & Shell Development Rating System, and also, the LEED 2009 for Commercial Interiors Rating System.

Manko Gold Katcher Fox, LLP

The Sheward Partnership was commissioned by Manko Gold Katcher Fox to serve as the LEED and Sustainability Consultant on their new 20,000 square foot headquarters in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. MGKF chose to relocate their office suite to another floor in the same building. The project included interior glazed partitions to allow daylight to penetrate deep into interior spaces. Reclaimed hemlock lumber was locally sourced from an old building for entry signage and the lobby coffee table. The project was awarded LEED Gold certification under the LEED 2009 for Commercial Interiors Rating System. The project is separately metered, and Manko Gold Katcher Fox is saving 50% on utility costs when compared to their previous office suite in the same building.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

The Sheward Partnership was commissioned by University Place Associates to serve as the LEED and Sustainability Consultant on the interior fit-out of the new 50,000 square foot commercial office for the Philadelphia-based U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The office occupies the first three levels of the Platinum certified 2.0 University Place commercial office building in West Philadelphia. The Sheward Partnership provided project specific sustainability strategies, integrating the LEED Rating System with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ national sustainability policy. The project was awarded LEED Platinum certification under the LEED 2009 for Commercial Interiors Rating System.

1 Country View Road

The Sheward Partnership was commissioned by Liberty Property Trust to serve as the LEED and Sustainability Consultant on the major renovation of the existing 1 Country View Road commercial office building. The project achieved LEED Gold certification under the LEED 2009 for Core & Shell Development Rating System. The project involved extensive core area upgrades including plumbing, lighting and HVAC systems as well as exterior building envelope modifications to improve energy efficiency and performance.
