Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia
The Sheward Partnership performed a study for Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia to assess the affiliate’s sustainable building practices and benchmark their portfolio against the LEED for Homes Rating System. The study examined site selection and development, energy efficient design and product selection, water use reduction strategies, durability measures, materials selection, waste reduction practices, indoor air quality procedures, and homeowner education practices. The Sheward Partnership also assisted Habitat with the development of their newly adopted ‘green’ housing standards and specifications including an incremental plan to build net zero affordable homes in Philadelphia by 2026.
