TSP Welcomes Senior Sustainability Project Manager to Philadelphia Office

We are excited to announce the newest member of The Sheward Partnership team! David Mazzocco, LEED AP has joined TSP as a Senior Sustainability Project Manager out of our Philadelphia office.

David Mazzocco is a LEED Accredited Professional with over 25 years of diverse professional experience. David’s background is in architecture and was the past owner of architecture and construction companies which he used to blur the distinctions between architect and builder, functionality and craft, common sense and sustainability. His projects have spanned from custom residential, K-12 and higher education, restaurants and retail to 911/Emergency Operations Centers, among others.

David is a respected, detail oriented professional recognized for his sustainability expertise and ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams to focus on institutionalizing change in sustainable behaviors and policy across diverse stakeholder groups. He received a Bachelor in Architecture degree from Penn State University and completed graduate research on Urban Theory at the Archivo Doria Pamphili in Rome, Italy, focusing on the work of the Baroque architect, Francesco Borromini.

Since 2006, David has focused on working with communities and institutions to plan for and implement a sustainable, carbon free future. He most recently served as the Sustainability Coordinator for the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was responsible for updating and implementing Wharton’s sustainability efforts in support of Penn’s Climate Action Plan (CAP). Previously, David served as the chair and green building advisor for West Chester, PA’s, environmental committee appointed by Borough Council to develop and implement a Borough-wide CAP. Through his leadership, the committee achieved their targets ahead of schedule through policy, outreach programs and partnerships. In 2020, he was named to the newly formed Chester County (PA) Environmental and Energy Advisory Board to work with County Commissioners and staff to update and implement the County’s Climate Action Plan.

In his free time, David is an avid road cyclist, riding with the West Chester Iron Hill Brewery cycling team. He also cherishes time spent with old friends; hiking and climbing the highest peaks in the lower 48 states. David and his wife, Gina, enjoy traveling the world together, renovating their home and investment properties, and spoiling their 4-legged family.

We are excited to have David join our team!

Welcome, David!
